Christmas
I love being around family. Normally every year everyone on my mom's side would come home and we would all gather at my Grandma's house and have Christmas breakfast and open gifts. Being with family on a holiday like Christmas is a wonderful blessing. It makes you feel like you are in the right place at the right time.
The Christmas spirit and atmosphere. Something about Christmas just automatically brings everyone closer together. It makes everyone feel a lot happier. To me I feel like December should be a time of happiness. Getting threw an entire year of whatever you had to face throughout it and celebrating that you made it!
The smell of Christmas trees!!! This for me is kind of the like the frosting on the cake. It makes everything around you come together to make it one perfect holiday.
Christmas music! Self explanatory, it gets you in the mood and reminds you that from the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas is finally here!
As I have gotten older I have come to realize that the satisfaction of Christmas isn't receiving gifts from a whole bunch of people but rather giving of yourself. For example, this year will be My hula girls first Christmas and as much as I know she will not have a clue as to what is going on I want to give her the best Christmas!!! I want her to know that she is loved and is very special and important to me. Giving her this is way better than receiving.
