It's been four months since I gave birth and I am starting to get "real" periods. Now I understand the whole reason why women have their periods. Cramps are horrendous! It's just like laboring all over again. I never used to get cramps before I was pregnant. Now, it is a different story. Yesterday was crazy for me, I had cramps from Sunday evening and all day Monday! It was so sore both my back and my stomach were cramping. Just when you think pushing a baby out is the end of it, your period comes back to life and every month you pretty much have to labor all over again. Men are so lucky they are not women. We go through so much! Getting pregnant, carrying a baby for 9 months, getting sick for 3 of them, getting fat and ugly, going through the pain of birth, breastfeeding, and periods. And that's not even the beginning. One of my cousins told me to think of it this way.....When you get your period its like your uterus is still trying to shrink back down and when you have cramps that is just what it's doing. So to say the least I guess pain is beauty! :)
