Sitting, waiting, wishing

My little hula girl is about a week away from being a full 40 weeks and this girl already has a mind of her own! We have been to the hospital twice already and unfortunately got sent home because this child does not want to come out. I am already dilated to 4 cm and the doctors say that when it is "time" I will go threw labor real fast. All this waiting and false labor calls puts me on the edge of my seat, I wish she would just come already! But as for right now all we can do is sit, wait and wish.....

I Am Not Alone

Running errands and talking on the phone, 

I am pleasantly reminded that I am not alone.

Little tiny hands a precious rounded knee

pushing and twisting that no one can see. 

Oh sweet child kicking up your heels, 

it is our little secret that only I can feel. 

I look forward to your birth, 

when I can kiss your skin, 

but for now I will just smile, 

As I feel you play within.
