Father's day festivities

This upcoming weekend is Father's day! Last year we spent Father's day in and out of the hospital, sick to our stomachs for two weeks. It is also my husband's birthday on the 19. This year we defenitly are celebrating big! Father's day will be spent with family of course with a regular Sunday dinner. The festivities don't stop there! We booked a three night stay in town at the Ilikai Hotel. We plan on relaxing and enjoying our "stay-cation" seeing as though our little munchkin will be staying with her Gigi for a couple of days.

Funny story... I was trying to think of different things to do for Bt for his birthday while in town. Something out of the norm and super fun. One that he will not forget! Going threw all sorts of things from dinner cruises, catamaran rides, The Atlantis and so forth. Both the dinner cruise and catamaran ride would probably be too boring and he has already been on the Atlantis. So those three were pretty much a fail. Finally, I thought I would take him para sailing! I found a company that is right behind the hotel we would be staying at, they gave us a awesome deal, thanks to Kama'aina rates, and its a super fun activity! I decided to book it! I gave them my debit card number and we were ready to go! Except for one slight detail that she forgot to mention in the beginning..... You cannot participate in this activity if you are pregnant! Total fail. And yes this means we are expecting baby number three!

All the while I was thinking this was a perfect idea and he would love it except for our tiny glitch in the equation. Now I am trying to come up with a brand new idea but it's not going so well. If any of you have any suggestions please do me a favor and help a mama out! Happy Father's day to all those special men out there! Hope your day is a great one!

Back on the blog wagon!

Well I am finally back! After being blog absent for way too long I know I need to get back into this documenting habit.

Our little family is surely growing each day. And by that I mean our little one. She is such a little energetic handful. She is about to turn one in less than a week and we are busy planning her first Birthday party. She knows how to walk, babble her little baby words, and eat just about anything and everything. My hubby is still a hard working construction worker! Doing the daily waking up at 4 in the morning and "bussing muli" all day for 8 hours straight. He is about to finish his sophomore year of college today. So proud of him! He will have two more years left of school and these past two flew by so quickly. As for me I am still doing the same old daily grind of a Mama! Learning, loving, and sometimes needing a break from it all. We still all manage to handle and have a good time as a family! We just recently took our family pictures as well as Kahula's one year old pictures. Here's a sneak peak:

Sayonara

See you later Hawaii! We leave to Florida tomorrow. I am so beyond stoked for this trip. I haven't been on a really long vacay like this in so long. I'm happy that I get to spend it with my little family. And I am so excited to be going to Disney World and taking my Hula girl with me. We will be home on New Years day, so in case I am too busy to post a Xmas entry here it is.

Mele Kalikimaka & Hauoli Makahiki Hou!!!
from my family to yours... Have a good one!

P.S I will have major Florida update once I get back so stay tuned.

White lilies

Yesterday marked the one year Anniversary of our marriage! We celebrated small because, as you all know, we are leaving to Florida this week Friday. I bought my hubby new clippers to cut his hair because he didn't have any. I thought I hid it in a good spot where he wouldn't be able to find it but, he found it! So my gift wasn't a surprise. He had to work so our day was spent separated. After work he picked Baby and I up from my Mom's house and he surprised me with red and white lilies and carnations! I am a total sucker for flowers. I love all things about flowers:) along with that he gave me a corny but cute anniversary card and a bag of oreo's. Later that night we had Zippy's for dinner. It was a nice and simple Anniversary.
Here is what I txt'd him while he was at work:

And my beautiful bouquet of flowers.

I am so grateful for my husband and all that he does to provide for our family. I admire his determination to do all things that he puts his mind to. I love the way he can pick himself up and dust himself off right after going threw something I know I would be crying my eyes out for days if it happened to me. I admire his straight forward and sternness he has with me that encourages me be a better person rather than curling up in a ball and not doing anything about it. I admire his hard working ethic and strength to overcome anything. Thank you babe for completing my puzzle and by adding your piece to our masterpiece! I love you!
